In 2003, Scott
competed in the WECF (a Mixed Martial Arts Federation), capturing the Heavyweight
Title with a first round defeat of previously unbeaten Marc Cambian. In addition to
fighting in the Octagon, Scott has also experienced self-defense on the
streets. In 2008, Scott was interviewed as
an expert on TALK640, a Toronto radio station, on
the subject of anti-bullying and the challenges of growing up
in today’s society. One of his primary passions in
the Martial Arts world is teaching youth and showing them
how to lead a good and positive lifestyle.
Scott has
two daughters of his own, both of whom have been training
in FSD since they were five. Nearly half of his students
are children aged twelve and under. With so many mixed messages being received from
the internet, television and video games, he welcomes the opportunity to
reenforce the concepts of discipline,
honesty and respect to the young people of today.
